What is Chinkiang vinegar?

A dark Chinese rice vinegar used in dipping sauces, noodle dishes, dressings and cooking. Chinkiang is another romanization of Zhenjiang.

Is this a plum-flavored vinegar?

Gold Plum is the brand name. The pictured bottle lists water, glutinous rice, wheat bran, sugar and salt.

Does it contain wheat?

Yes. The pictured bottle states that it contains wheat gluten. Check the label on your bottle before serving it to anyone with an allergy or dietary restriction.

How much should I use for dumplings?
